Many failures of the full-color LED display are caused by improper installation. Therefore, the steps must be strictly followed during the installation process, especially during the first installation. In order to reduce the occurrence of errors, let’s take a look at the full-color LED. The wiring diagram of the display screen and the wiring method steps for the installation of a full-color LED display.
1. Full-color LED display cable connection diagram
Two, method steps
1. Check whether the power supply voltage of the full-color LED display is normal.
Find the switching power supply with positive and negative DC connections, connect the 220V power cord to the switching power supply, (make sure it is connected correctly, connect the AC or NL terminal), and connect the power supply. Then use a multimeter and DC mode to measure the voltage to ensure that the voltage is between 4.8V-5.1V, and there is a knob beside it, which can be adjusted by a Phillips screwdriver, and the DC mode is used to measure the voltage. In order to reduce the heat of the screen and prolong its life, the voltage can be adjusted to 4.5V-4.8 where the brightness requirement is not high. After confirming that there is no problem with the voltage, cut off the power supply and continue to assemble other parts.
2. Turn off the power of the full-color led display.
Connect V+ to the red wire, V+ to the black wire, respectively connect the full-color LED display control card and the LED panel, and the black wire to the control card and GND power supply. Red connects the control card +5V voltage and the unit board VCC. Each board has a wire. When you are finished, check that the connection is correct.
3. Connect the full-color led display controller and the unit board.
Use good wiring and connections. Please pay attention to the direction and do not reverse the connection. The full-color led display unit board has two 16PIN interfaces, 1 is input, 1 is output, and the vicinity of 74HC245/244 is input, and the control card is connected to the input. The output is connected to the input of the next unit board.
4. Connect the RS232 data line of the full-color LED display.
Connect one end of the made data cable to the computer’s DB9 serial port, and the other end to the full-color led display control card, connect the 5 pin (brown) of DB9 to the GND of the control card, and connect the 3 pin (brown) of DB9 to the control RS232-RX of the card. If your PC does not have a serial port, you can purchase a USB to RS232 serial port conversion cable from the Computer Store.
5. Check the connection of the full-color led display again.
Whether the black wire is correctly connected to -V and GND, and the red wire is connected to +V and VCC+5V.
6. Turn on the 220V power supply and open the software downloaded by the full-color LED display.
Usually, the power light is on, the control card is on, and the full-color LED display shows it. If anything is abnormal, please check the connection. Or check troubleshooting. Set screen parameters and send subtitles. Please refer to the software instructions.
